I recently made a masquerade mask ... peopel were astounded by it and shocked that i actually made it. they looked at it as if it was just something for fashion but really it meant sooo much more. i had been out in public and me and my friends were gay bashed... it gave me a revelation. the revelation that society wants us hidden as gays ... they would like us to disappear if we could. they turn their noses up at us and were weird and crazy. so i sat in my room with Teardrops- Massive Attack playing and i thought, if i give society exactly what they wanted how would they react. i made the mask as a depiction of what society actually places on the gay community. it hid me from people and they looked at me as i walked around the mall like WTF?... one man even said i creeped him out to his family but isnt this what they wanted? they want us hidden ... the mask hid my face and they deem us weirdos ... and i looked weird so didnt i just show them what they label me as? society is ignorant. as a race of Homo Sapiens they are dumb... quick to label and quick to judge but dont know what they want! for i gave them what exactly they wanted... so what is it they want? I SHALL NOT CONFORM WILL YOU?
